Some traders are not following guidelines while selling the SIM cards, he poiinted out He said the police booked 64 cases in Guntur urban police district against those who violated the norms while selling the SIM cards.

The Urban Superintendent of Police said that some persons are submitting the copies of fake voter ID and Aadhaar proofs and taking SIM cards from the dealers and giving the cards to anti-social elements which is causing unrest in society.
He directed the dealers to check the documents submitted by the customers with originals before giving SIM cards and said minor children are showing voters ID cards and Aadhaar cards of their parents while taking SIM cards.

He instructed the SIM card dealers to be careful while giving SIM cards. He further said that some SIM card dealers are selling more cards to get more profit, but they are not following any guidelines.

He instructed the SIM card dealers to note IME number of the phone while selling the cards.He urged the cell phone users not to give their cell phone to the strangers though they request. If they misuse their cell phone, they are responsible for future consequences. He directed the phone dealers follow the norms and cooperate with the police.
