SVIMS inks MoA with Rotary Club for breast cancer screening

Tirupati: The Rotary Club of Tirupati and SVIMS entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for installation of digital mammography equipment which will be useful for screening of breast cancer.
SVIMS Director and Vice-Chancellor of Dr T S Ravi Kumar, who is also a cancer expert, said cancer can be cured if it diagnosed at an early stage. The Rotary Club will raise Rs 1.15 crore for setting up digital mammography unit. The SVIMS and Rotary Club will jointly spread cancer awareness messages and conduct health camps for breast cancer, he added.
