Visakhapatnam Port Trust Chairman asks parents to encourage wards in sports

Visakhapatnam: Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust M T Krishna Babu called upon the parents to encourage their wards in participating in sports as both the State and Central governments are according top priority to encourage sports.
He was addressing the valedictory function of the s ummer sports coaching camp organised by Visakhapatnam Port Sports Council at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.

Krishna Babu asked the children not only use smart phones, iPads and laptops but also play games regularly to remain fit. The regular participation in games, he said would improve memory power, physical strength and also to help improve oneness and unity.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also encouraging football which will be conducted. The more the children participate in sports, the more they excel in academics, he added. He congratulated the Port Sports Council and Port Sports Officer M V Manikyala Rao for the successful conduct of the camp in all disciplines. Later, he distributed mementos and certificates to all the participants.Chief engineer Amal Kumar Mehera, In-charge CME P V V P Harihara Rao, sports officer Manikyala Rao and all coaches were present.
