Ongole: The BJP leaders in Prakasam district lashed out at the TDP government for not seeking their cooperation in the implementation of State and Central governments schemes. Speaking to the media here on Sunday at their party office, district BJP president PV Krishna Reddy, state committee member, and district in-charge K Satyanarayana said that they will launch a tirade against the corrupt officials.

Krishna Reddy said, “As per the basic rules of alliance with the TDP, we are extending our cooperation in all programmes to them, but they are ignoring us. Though the iconic programmes being launched and implemented by the state government are funded by the Central government, they do not credit us and at least do not take us into confidence in implementing the schemes at the ground-level.”

He said, “The decisions being taken by the TDP government are helping the officials resort to violation of rules and involve in corruption to a larger extent. We are launching a fight against the corrupt officials and starting with the B Ed colleges in the district. There is 112 B Ed and 141 D Ed colleges in the district and most of them are violating the rules. There are no students in them for classes but comes from other states for attending the exams.

We are demanding the officials concerned to prepare a report on the situation in the educational colleges in the district and submit it to the collector for action. We are also preparing a report for submission to the Governor, HRD Ministers in the State and Central governments.”

K Satyanarayana said, “We are preparing booth level committees in the district for a membership drive. In the 3,000 plus booths, we are expecting to complete 1,800 booths by May 23. These booth committee members will meet the party National President Amit Shah on May 25 in Vijayawada and interact with him on increasing the cadre base.”
