The Opposition party YSR Congress moved an adjournment motion to discuss farmers' issues, however, it was rejected by Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. The Speaker went on to read out condolence messages to the members, who had passed away recently, including MLA Devineni Nehru.

Following this, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, introduced GST Bill. Speaking on the same, the Minister that the Bill is useful to AP adding that the Centre assured to pay for the losses if any.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu too addressed the subject, saying that the Bill is in alignment with world wide economic policy. However, the YSRCP legislators staged protests in the Assembly by raising slogans, holding placards and surrounding the Speaker's podium demanding solution to problems of Chilli farmers.

BJP legislator Vishnu Kumar suggested that the YSR Congress members practice restraint.
