On his arrival at the main entrance of the shrine, the TTD officials welcomed the former Prime Minster with temple honours and led him to the sanctum sanctorum. Later, he offered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Venkateswara. The Vedic Pandits rendered Vedasirvachanm to Deva Gowda at Ranganayakula mandapam, in the temple, after darshan.
