Visakhapatnam: Lok Sabha MPs from Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli Dr K Haribabu and M Srinivas asked the officials to speed up the works to ground various projects sanctioned by the Centre for the district. Stating that these projects will change the face of Vizag, they lamented tardy progress on these projects due to negligence of the officials.
Both the MPs reviewed the progress of these projects with the senior district officials on Thursday. They pointed out that six and four lane roads to various places in the country from Vizag have been sanctioned and with this there is a scope for investments to the tune of Rs 25,000 crore.
The MPs had urged the officials to bring if there are any issues in grounding the Central government sanctioned projects into their notice to take up with the Union government.Anakapalli MP said that 50 km long highway has been sanctioned between Anandapuram, Pendurthy and Anakapalle and asked the officials to immediately acquire the land and complete the highway project on schedule.
Visakhapatnam MP K Haribabu expressed displeasure over not informing them about the progress of these projects regularly. He urged the officials to give wide publicity to the projects sanctioned by the Union government and their benefits to the people of Vizag.
