Gram Sabhas for Polavaram oustees from May 30 :Collector
West Godavari district Collector K Bhaskar said that village meetings will be conducted from May 30 to June 12 in 19 submergence villages of Polavaram project, to create awareness among the displaced people on the Relief and Rehabilitation package.
Eluru: West Godavari district Collector K Bhaskar said that village meetings will be conducted from May 30 to June 12 in 19 submergence villages of Polavaram project, to create awareness among the displaced people on the Relief and Rehabilitation package.
The collector discussed the R&R package and other issues with ITDA Project Officer Shan Mohan at Collectorate on Saturday afternoon. The collector directed the Project Officer to take up elaborate discussion on the relief and rehabilitation programmes taken up by the government in the 19 submergence villages in Polavaram Mandal in the second phase. He said the officials should explain the displaced about the amount sanctioned to them under R and R package, the basic amenities in the rehabilitation colonies.
He also directed to list out the village meeting date and time and village where the meeting will be held. He directed mandal tahsildars to attend these meetings and receive the representations given by the villagers. He directed them to publish full details of the village meetings in all newspapers without fail. Joint collector Pulipati Koteswara Rao, Jangareddigudem RDO S Lavanna also participated in the discussions.
