Pithapuram: Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer K Padma expressed anger against National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS) Assistant Project Officer Sanyasi Rao for failing to provide amenities to NREGS workers while paying a surprise visit to F K Palem, Virava, Viravada and Mallam villages on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, she directed Sanyasi Rao to ensure setting up tents at work locations. She also asked him to provide buttermilk to the workers. “Government is providing Rs 5 to each worker per day towards drinking water. Summer allowance of 30 per cent is being provided,” she added.
