He said 42% of women and 21% of men after the age of 60 years face astioartharitis. Almost 1 lakh people in India undergo knee replacement surgery every year and this number likely to increase by 20% in near future, he said. Dr Madan Mohan stated that the patient can walk with help of attendant three hours after the surgery.
The second day he can do little things and he can walk with help of support after 10 days, he said. The latest methods in medical technology make the patient to fell lesser pain and helps in precision bone cutting with complete accuracy. There will not be loss of blood, no infection and speedy recovery is assured, he explained.
