Kurnool: District Collector, S Sathya Narayana ordered the concerned officials to sketch a plan for the distribution of LPG connections to 2.75 lakh families sanctioned under the LPG Deepam scheme. Collector along with Joint Collector Prasanna Venkatesh reviewed a meeting on Deepam connections with RDOs and gas agencies at collector conference hall on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sathya Narayana ordered the officials to prepare plans for grounding the gas connections after completing survey of left over 57 families.

He ordered the Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs), tahsildars and APM to complete the grounding task. According to smart pulse survey around 3.52 lakh families are lacking gas connections in the district adding the collector said to arrange grounding mela at all mandals to distribute connections to 2.75 lakh beneficiaries.

He also ordered to take up resurvey at the 2.75 lakh sanctioned gas connections so to stop dubious connections. While taking up resurvey, he suggested the officials to collect the details of Aadhaar card, ration card, bank pass book, two pass port size photos and an affidavit from the head of the family stating that they don’t have gas connection.

Expressing displeasure on the poor pace of the survey, Sathya Narayana ordered the Municipal Commissioner to speed up the surveying process. He ordered the concerned officials to complete the Deepam connection process within a week day’s period by deputing team’s village wise and also said to invite the local leaders while distributing the connections.

He ordered the District Civil Supplies Officer (DSO), Subramaniam to hold a meeting with the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPC) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPC) heads for ensuring adequate cylinders while distribution.

Kurnool, Adoni, Nandyal, Revenue Divisional Officers (RDOs), Hussain Saheb, Ram Sunder Reddy, Obulesu, Zillah Parishad Chairman, Eshwar, DRDA Project Director, Rama Krishna, IOC, BPC, HPC oil companies representatives attended the meeting.
