Visakhapatnam: Ministry of Labour and the Central Committee of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) nominated
BMS national vice-president M Jagdeeshwara Rao as an Indian representative to the forthcoming ILO conference to be held in Zeneva from June 4 to 16.

Jagdeeshwara Rao has in-depth knowledge of labour laws and social security measures and is a champion of the working-class. While congratulating Jagdeeshwara Rao on the occasion, BMS senior leader K Bhavani Shankarudu disclosed here on Sunday that Rao will be presenting the view of BMS on various labour issues.

“Apart from that, he will also showcase the BMS stand against globalisation prominently with a focus on South East Asian countries. Uniform Social Security Code concept of bringing all social security measures under one roof will also be prominently discussed”, said Bhavani Shankarudu.

Jagdeeswara Rao is the nominated member of CBWE, ESIC, State PF Regional Committee and as trustee of EPFO for the last seven years. Rao took up the BMS organisational work in 1989 in Visakhapatnam as district secretary and also organising secretary who later rose to the post of state secretary and state vice-president. He has held many key posts in the BMS before being elevated to national secretary and national vice-president three years ago.
