We have to take this as a big challenge and strive for the growth and development of our state,” he added Participating in a meeting on “Agriculture and allied sectors, water conservation, fisheries and other schemes” held at Undi Mandal Parishad meeting hall in the town on Sunday as part of the Navanirmana Deeksha programme, the Minister said that the Chief Minister was receptive to innovative ideas for the development of the state and the people belonging to all sections of the society may represent their ideas to the state government.

The government would welcome every idea for the development, he added. The Minister said that the people of the State should develop it in such a manner as to make Congressmen bow down their heads in shame for their treachery. Lamenting that the previous Congress governments have totally forgotten the development and welfare of the people, Ravindra said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was taking bold decisions for the development of the State, in spite of facing several hurdles.

Listing out the steps taken up by the state government for development of the agricultural sector, he said that the government has supplied seeds, fertilisers and water for irrigation purposes on time to the farmers. The farmers are happy now as they got a higher yield of five per cent. He stated that the government disbursed nets, boats and other material to the fishermen on fifty percent subsidy. The government has given Rs.4,000 to the each of the fishermen during their recess, he added.

Lashing out at the Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi and the YSRCP leaders, the Minister said that Rahul Gandhi has no right to enter Andhra Pradesh and the YSRCP leaders were only interesting in creating hurdles for the development of the State. He urged the people to join hands for the construction of a world-class capital city, Amaravati.

Presiding over the meeting, Undi MLA Vetukuri Venkata Sivaramaraju (Kalavapudi Siva) explained the problems and struggle after the bifurcation of the State and lauded the efforts of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for his commitment and dedication in serving the people. Later, the MLA, leaders of fishermen and officials felicitated Minister Ravindra.

Agriculture Market Committee Chairman Sagiraju Sambasivaraju, Undi constituency Special Officer and SC Corporation deputy director M Jhansi Rani ZPTC member Karimeraka Venkata Thulasi, Mandal Parishad president Areti Venkataratna Prasad and others participated in the meeting. The Minister distributed subsidised iceboxes to fishermen.
