Collector to submit report on land scam to CM today
Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao has asked the Collector Pravin Kumar to submit a report to the chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to the city on Tuesday.
Visakhapatnam: Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao has asked the Collector Pravin Kumar to submit a report to the chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to the city on Tuesday.
He also advised him to put all the records of private lands in a website so that the owners could see the status time to time. This will prevent tampering of the records which has been done by some unscrupulous elements in the city. The minister held a meeting with the collector and joint collector G Srijana and inquired about the ongoing inquiry.
He discussed in length the tampering, land pooling and Dasapalla lands issue during the meeting. Later, the minister told the reporters that the tampering has been going on since 2010 but they saw light only last month.
He suggested the collector to strengthen land protection cell, provide helpline, weekly drone camera surveillance, geo-fencing and construct compound wall around the lands owned by VUDA.
