Deputy Chief Minister, KE Krishna Murthy advised the farmers to be aware of spurious seeds and gave out a warning to the sellers that the government will view it seriously. He accompanied with district collector, S Sathya Narayana, Rajya Sabha MP, TG Venkatesh, MLAs participated at Eruvaka Punnami conducted at Panchalingala village on Friday.

KE first performed puja by breaking the coconut and later tilted the land of Mekala Venkateshwarulu. They also sowed the seeds in his land and said it is an ancient ritual that every auspicious programme pertaining to government used to start from Panchalingala village.

Later he spoke to the farmers at Montessori School where the agriculture department has organized farmer’s related program. Murthy suggested the farmers about the precautions to be taken in case of seeds, fertilizers and the crops to be cultivated this Kharif season. He said that the Chief Minister, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu is striving to transform Andhra Pradesh into Navya Andhra Pradesh.

We have successfully completed the Nava Nirmana Deeksha and for the excellent performance the Chief Minister has appreciated the district collector, S Sathya Narayana, he stated.Further he added that tractors would be given out to the actual beneficiaries on subsidy basis through rythu radham scheme.

Several reforms have been made in revenue department. The land details of the owner could be easily known through Mee Intiki Mee Bhoomi through online process, he stated.District Collector, S Sathya Narayana said it is an auspicious occasion that the rains are falling on Eruvaka Punnami. He said that the crop yield was recorded high last year.

Rajya Sabha, MP, TG Venkatesh, Kurnool MLA, SV Mohan Reddy, Irrigation development chairman, KE Prabhakar, Joint Director for Agriculture, Uma Maheshwaramma, Panchalingala Sarpanch, Ananta Lakshmi, Somi Shetty Venkateshwarulu, ZPTCs, MPTC, villagers and agriculture department staff participated in the programme.
