Couple murdered at Rentachintala
A couple was murdered in a property dispute at Jettipalem village under Rentachintala mandal in Guntur district on Thursday. This news came to light on Friday. According to police, the deceased Meka Pothula Vekateswara Reddy (53), his wife Padmavati (45) were brutally murdered and locals found their bodies in the agriculture fields in Jettipalem village.
Guntur: A couple was murdered in a property dispute at Jettipalem village under Rentachintala mandal in Guntur district on Thursday. This news came to light on Friday. According to police, the deceased Meka Pothula Vekateswara Reddy (53), his wife Padmavati (45) were brutally murdered and locals found their bodies in the agriculture fields in Jettipalem village.
Venkateswara Reddy had a property dispute with his brother Pichi Reddy. On June 7, he went to his agriculture field, Pichi Reddy and his family members did not allow him into agriculture field. They had a tiff for some time. Locals, who noticed the couple bodies in the field, informed Venkateswara Reddy’s relatives.
In turn, they informed police, who rushed to the spot and pressed clues team into service to trace the accused. Police suspect property dispute led to murder of the couple. They registered a case and took up investigation.
