Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to renowned Telugu poet and Jnanpith awardee Dr Cingireddi Narayana Reddy, who passed way in Hyderabad on Monday.

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid tributes to renowned Telugu poet and Jnanpith awardee Dr Cingireddi Narayana Reddy, who passed way in Hyderabad on Monday.

“Born in a remote village in Karimnagar district in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, he was a master in Telugu and Urdu poetry. His writings are characterised by universal values, of hope and well being,” the Chief Minister said. Terming Cinare’s demise as an irreparable loss to Indian literature, Naidu stated that the Reddy made unparalleled contribution as a poet, critic, lyricist, playwright, educationist and an orator. “I am deeply pained by his demise”, he added.

Later, in Guntur, Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasad paid tributes to Dr C Narayana Reddy. He said that Cinare’s death was a loss to the Telugu literature field. “He rendered great service to the Basava Tarakam Hospital,” he recalled and conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved family members.
