Ministry of Railways has approved introduction of new trains Vijayawada - Howrah- Vijayawada Humsafar Superfast Express (Weekly), Tirupati – Jammutawi - Tirupati Superfast Express (Weekly) and Kadapa– Pendlimarri-Kadapa DEMU with effect from June 15.
Vijayawada: Ministry of Railways has approved introduction of new trains Vijayawada - Howrah- Vijayawada Humsafar Superfast Express (Weekly), Tirupati – Jammutawi - Tirupati Superfast Express (Weekly) and Kadapa– Pendlimarri-Kadapa DEMU with effect from June 15.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Railway Minster Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will flag off the new train services in Vijayawada on Thursday simultaneously at Tirupati and Kadapa stations via video remote link. The Vijayawada–Howrah Superfast Humsafar Express (Train No. 00890) will depart Vijayawada at 12:30 pm on June 15 and arrive at Howrah at 8.15 am on June 16.
This inaugural special train will leave Rajamahendravaram at 3 pm., arrive/depart Visakhapatnam at 6.45/7.05 pm., Vizianagram at 8.05/8.10 pm., Bhubaneswar at 1.40/1.45 am., Cuttack at 2.15/2.20 am and Kharagpur at 6.20/6.25 am.
This train consists of 19 coaches. Of them, 16 are AC III tier coaches, one pantry car and two generator power car coaches.
Besides, train No. 20890 Vijayawada – Howrah Superfast Humsafar Express, which runs as regular service, will depart Vijayawada at 11:05 a.m. on every Sunday and arrive Howrah at 6.30 pm on every Monday. In the opposite direction, train No. 20889 Howrah–Vijayawada Superfast Humsafar Express will depart Howrah at 12.40 p.m. on Saturdays and arrive Vijayawada at 7.45 a.m. the next day (Sundays).
En route these trains will stop at Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagram, Bhubaneswar,Cuttack and Kharagpur.
The Railway Minister will also inaugurate train No. 02705 Tirupati–Jammu Tawi Superfast Humsafar Express will depart Tirupati at 12:30 pm on June 15 and arrive/depart Secunderabad at 2.30/2.45 p.m. (early hours on next day) and arrive Jammu Tawi at 3.40 p.m. on next day.
This inaugural special train will also stop at Guntakal, Adoni, Raichur, Lingampalli, Kazipet, Balharshah, Sewagram, Nagpur, Habibganj, Jhansi, Delhi Safdarjung, Panipat, Ambala Cantt, Rajpura, Sirhind, Khanna, Ludhiana and Jalandhar Cantonment Stations.
Similarly, train No. 22705 Tirupati–Jammu Tawi Superfast Humsafar Express will depart Tirupati at 5:15 pm. on Tuesday and arrive/depart Secunderabad at 6.55/7.20 a.m. next day (Wednesday) and arrive Jammu Tawi at 11.10 p.m. on Thursday. In the return direction, train No. 22706 Jammu Tawi–Tirupati Superfast Humsafar Express will depart Jammu Tawi at 5.30 am on Fridays and arrive/depart at 10.45/11.00 pm next day (Saturdays) and arrive Tirupati at 11.25 pm on Sundays.

This inaugural special train will stop at Pabbapuram and Ganganapalle stations. Train No. 77405 Kadapa– Pendlimarri DEMU will depart Kadapa at 9:55 am on June 16 and arrive at Pendlimarri at 10.45 am on the same day.
In the return direction, train No. 77406 Pendlimarri – Kadapa DEMU will depart Pendlimarri at 10.55 am on June 16 and arrive Kadapa at 11.40 am on the same day. This DEMU trains will stop at Pabbapuram and Ganganapalle stations in both the directions.
