However, the surveyor demanded Rs 20,000 bribe to conduct the survey of the land. The farmer, who ran from pillar to post for a week, told the surveyor that he will only be able to give Rs 9,000 for the survey and the surveyor agreed to take that amount.

The vexed farmer approached the ACB DSP in Eluru on Wednesday and expalined his problem. On the directive of the ACB, Mangaraju made a call to the surveyor and asked him where to give him the amount. The surveyor told the farmer to come to Gopalapuram village centre to hand over the money.

The farmer Gangaraju went to Gopalapuram village centre. In the meantime, the surveyor reached there on a bike and he was caught red-hadned by ACB DSP P Gopalakrishna and CI UJ Wilson while accepting the bribe. The sleuths and seized Rs 9000 from the surveyor. ACB DSP said that the surveyor will be produced before the ACB court on Thursday.
