Civic chief, Asian Development Bank officials
Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan accompanied by representatives of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and municipal officials visited Mudasarlova Park during his field visit on Friday for taking up park development, including setting up of a solar power project.
Visakhapatnam: Municipal Commissioner M Harinarayanan accompanied by representatives of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and municipal officials visited Mudasarlova Park during his field visit on Friday for taking up park development, including setting up of a solar power project.
After examining the roads and the park extent with the Mudasarlova Master Plan, the ADB representatives apprised the civic chief that they are ready to develop the park soon after the approval of their report.
Later, they visited the Dry Resource Centre built with the HUDCO assistance of Rs 22 lakh on the premises of MSF-1 area. The commissioner directed the municipal engineering officials to hand over the allotted site near the Dry Resource Centre to the Golf Club in a week.
He asked to set up a compost manufacturing unit there after segregating wet and dry garbage and to protect the green belt on the road medians from Hanumanthuvaka to Simhachalam BRTS Road.
He also asked to strengthen the fencing, plant saplings wherever necessary and to remove make-shift stalls if any along the green belt. Zonal Commissioner Satyaveni, executive engineer Rama Murty, assistant city planner Sanjeev Kumar, DEs Chandrasekhar and Dileep and surveyors were present.
