Visakhapatnam: Pressure is mounting on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu with Opposition parties demanding CBI probe and its ally BJP floor leader P Vishnu Kumar Raju threatening to expose the top leaders, who are involved in the scam and now fresh threat from Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy, who would be sitting on a Mahadharna on June 22 demanding CBI probe.
BJP floor leader in Assembly P Vishnu Kumar Raju threatens to expose VIPs
Jagan, who was not allowed to lead a candle rally on beach road on Republic Day for special category status now would utilize the full opportunity to egg on the people to take on the ruling Telugu Desam Party. The Left parties equally agitated over the land scam stated that the SIT probe was only an eye wash and to silence the Roads and buildings minister
Ch Ayyannapatrudu, who on top of his voice said his party leaders were involved in the scam and also announced public inquiry.
“Naidu will not only face the heat from Left and YSRCP but also get grinded by his own party leaders led by Ayyannapatrudu and BJP leader P Vishnu Kumar Raju. Second leaders close to Patrudu and MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna will not keep quiet and make every effort to defame the opponents whom they blame for the scam,” opined a senior leader of the party.
Earlier BJP floor leader P Vishnu Kumar Raju threatened that he would expose the names of big leaders involved in the scam within 15 days. Meanwhile the YSRCP leaders announced that ‘Maha Dharna’ would be a big hit and draw lot of people as their leader Jaganmohan Reddy would be sitting in a protest in front of Collectorate on June 22 to highlight the ‘land scams in Vizag city and the involvement of TD leaders’ and demanding CBI probe into multi-crore land scams.
The Maha Dharna is to mobilise public opinions against the TD government, which is indifferent towards the issue to protect some TD leaders, who have involved in the scam. The state government has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) comprising of revenue, police and judiciary officials to probe into the scam and submit report to the Cabinet sub-committee and this exercise is nothing but an eye wash, said YSRC district president Gudivada Amarnath.
Ganta’s letter to Chief Minister requesting for a probe clearly indicates that the minister and his henchmen were involved in the land scams, he pointed out.Documents pertaining thousands of acres have been tampered but the SIT has been asked to probe only 270 acres of land in just two areas of Kommadi and Madhurawada.
YSRC leaders Botcha Satyanarayana and few others said that TD leaders including Chief Minister’s son Nara Lokesh and others have involved in Daspalla lands scams and Pendurthi MLA Bandaru Satyhanarayana Murthy aides are involved in Mudapaka land pooling scam.
Sources said that the TD leaders are trying to water down YSRC’s Maha Dharna by instructing the police to not to give permission. The YSRC leaders on the other hand are also trying to rope in the victims of land scams to sit in for the protest.
