In a tragic accident, a woman and her niece were killed when a tractor hit the two-wheeler they riding in.
The incident took place at Veluvolu in Krishna district at around 7.30 AM when two woman and the daughter of one of them were heading to Avanigadda from Vijayawada on a bike.
The deceased identified as Ankamma died on the spot while her niece Sivaleela succumbed to the injuries while she was being rushed to the hospital.
Sivaleela's mother too sustained injuries and is being treated at the Avanigadda government hospital. The police have registered a case and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
