Floating restaurant, cottages on River Krishna
The state government on Wednesday gave permission to by M/s. Champion Yacht Club for setting up a floating restaurant and cottages in the middle of River Krishna facing the Prakasam Barrage near Bhavani Island. Engineer-in-Chief (Irrigation), water resources department has submitted a proposal requesting the government for necessary permission for the floating restaurant and cottages.

In the orders issued by principal secretary Shashi Bushan Kumar, the tourism authorities have to take all necessary precautions and safety measures to avoid untoward incidents, in anchoring the barges at stipulated locations and to shift them to the banks during floods and anchor them safely.
Tourism authorities and M/s Champion Yacht Club should shift the floating restaurant and cottages to safest place during flood times after announcement of warning of flood discharges of 1 lakh cusecs and above and they have to obtain information from IMD, CWC and water resources department.
