Varla Ramaiah dubs Jagan’s deeksha as farce

Kadapa: Dubbing YSRC dharna in Visakhapatnam as farce, TDP general secretary Varla Ramaiah accused YS Jaganmohan Reddy of creating ruckus to gain political mileage. “He has no moral right to launch agitation on land scams as he was prime accused in several money laundering cases,” he said.

Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, Ramaiah alleged that Jagan looted crores of public money with backing of his father YS Rajasekhara Reddy during the Congress regime. Questioning the credibility of Jagan for demanding CBI probe on land issues at Visakhapatnam, Varla said it was a meaningless demand as the government ordered probe with Special Investigation Team (SIT).

He demanded that Jagan should answer as why his father gave thousands of acres of lands at Peddapalle mandal for Metro Company - owned Ongole MP YV Subba Reddy and hundred acres of lands to one Ramki company owned by Venkata Rama Reddy during Congress rule.

“As an experienced and old offender in several cases Jagan is shivering as SIT enquiry will unearth facts of land grabbing by his party men and relatives in Visakhapatnam,” he mocked. He wanted to know what Jagan did not condemn the charges framed by CBI to his illegal properties.

“If Jagan is innocent of his illegal assets he should openly declared his properties including their cost and worth,” he challenged.
