Anna Amrutha Hastham, one of the important schemes launched by the government to provide nutrition food to pregnant women and lactating mothers in the district, will be launched in 3,812 Anganwadi centres on Friday.
Vijayawada: Anna Amrutha Hastham, one of the important schemes launched by the government to provide nutrition food to pregnant women and lactating mothers in the district, will be launched in 3,812 Anganwadi centres on Friday.
At present, the scheme is being implemented in 960 Anganwadi centres in the district. District Collector Lakshmi Kantham said people representatives will inaugurate this scheme on Friday.
Collector Lakhsmi Kantham in a statement here on Thursday said that Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao will inaugurate the scheme at Kandukuri Kalyana Mandapam in Vijayawada.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivasa Rao, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadde Anuradha, Mayor Koneru Sridhar and others will participate, he added. He suggested that ICDS and medical and health department officers and staff coordinate in the implementation of the welfare scheme.
