30-floor iconic building to come up in Amaravati
The first iconic building in Amaravati capital city planned by Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugus (APNRT) is likely to get a nod from the State government in a few days.
Amaravati: The first iconic building in Amaravati capital city planned by Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugus (APNRT) is likely to get a nod from the State government in a few days.
The 30-floor building will come up in the core capital area. Recently, designs and preliminary plans have been finalised by the State government and the APNRT. The project is estimated to cost Rs 500 crore and the building will be constructed in 10 acres site.
Singapore-based companies have prepared designs for the building. As many as 5,000 people will get employment under the project. According to sources, the State government is likely to clear the important project in the next Cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on July 3.
As per the plans, 93 countries and 270 Telugu NRI associations will get representation in the building. Important associations like Telugu Association of North America (TANA) and North American Telugu Association (NATA) will open their offices in the building.
The 30-floor building will have total space of 9 lakh square feet and every floor will have an office space of 20,000 sq feet. A mega convention centre will be constructed in the remaining space which will be able to accommodate 5,000 persons. All the world-famous companies including Microsoft would start their establishments in the building.
Significantly, space will be provided to several international universities like Oxford, Chicago. The universities would start classes in the building. Besides, one amphitheatre also will be constructed to provide space for youth activities.
Another highlight in the building is a revolving restaurant which will be constructed. The visitors can watch all the Amaravati capital location by sitting in rolling restaurant. It will be attractive relaxation facility to people of Amaravati. On the other hand, all the facilities including international standard shopping facilities will be available.
The building will not only be the first iconic tower in the capital but also the biggest commercial establishment. Moreover, the building will be constructed by taking suggestions and plans from Singaporebased construction agency.
Already plans are designed to utilise platinum rated gold building technology. It reduces the power consumption drastically. APNRT president Vemuri Ravi Kumar speaking to The Hans India said that the building works would start in a few months and with a target of completing the project within 5 months.
