The mandal-level officials brought to the notice of the Collector that several Chenchu hamlets lack roads, drains and tribals are not having ration cards and pucca houses. He directed the officials to give top most priority for providing better amenities to Chenchus.

He advised District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Narasimhulu to be ready with medical staff and with stock of medicines as there is a chance break out of seasonal diseases in the hamlets. “It is the responsibility of the Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) to prevent the drop outs of Chenchu children. He also ordered the officials concerned to ensure that the welfare schemes are reached Chenchus without delay.

“Officials have to visit 42 tribal hamlets regularly to identify problems being faced by 8,200 Chenchus, who are residing in 2,133 families. Expressing dissatisfaction over the poor implementation of National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme works (NREGS) at Nagireddypalligudem, he instructed the MPDOs to facilitate works under the scheme without failure.

He told the officials to cover the Chenchu families under Chandranna Bima scheme and distribute Annapurna Antyodaya Yojana (AAY) cards to all the beneficiaries besides sanctioning of houses. Joint Collector-2 Rama Swamy, ITDA Project Officer Venkata Murali, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Eshwar, DWMA Project Director Pulla Reddy, RDO Hussain Saheb, Panchyat Raj Superintendent Engineer Subba Rayudu, RWS Superintendent Engineer Ravi Babu and others
participated in the meeting.
