  • Wonders why the State govt is failing to fill up vacant posts of doctors in tribal areas

Addressing the tribals at Kadarikota village, he said the deaths of tribals are a glaring example of the negligent attitude of the government towards them.

The ITDA failed to secure the information about the deaths of tribals even after 15 days, which shows it failure, the Opposition leader said.

He wondered why the State government is not filling up the vacant posts of doctors in the Agency area for months together. He said many doctors are relactunt to work in the Agency areas, as the government is not providing facilities to them. He pointed out that only seven ambulances are available in 11 mandals in the Agency area and the tribals were facing problems due to the shortage of ambulances.

He also stated that the government failed to constitute a Tribal Advisory Committee during the last three years with a fear that YSRCP MLAs will become its members and they would raise questions on spending of funds.

Many villages in the Agency are not having proper roads, communication facility, drinking water and electricity and the tribals were leading a pathetic life.

The tribals are forced to walk miles to go to hospitals and wondered how ITDA is spending funds sanctioned by the government for tribal welfare.
