High Court delivers judgement in the Sadavarthi Satram lands case
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday delivered it\'s judgement in the Sadavarthi Satram lands auction case in petitioner Alla Rama Krishna Reddy\'s favour.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday delivered it's judgement in the Sadavarthi Satram lands auction case in petitioner Alla Rama Krishna Reddy's favour.
It is known that the AP government alienated 84 acres of Satram lands in Chennai at a price of Rs 22 crore to big shots through auction, but the lands were in fact donated by Sadavarthi Raja Vasi Reddy to provide financial assistant to poor Brahmins.
Challenging the government's decision, YSRCP MLA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy filed a petition in the High Court. In it's final judgement, the Court offered the land to the YSRCP MLA if he is willing to pay an additional amount of Rs 5 crores above the auctioned amount of Rs 22 crores.
As the petitioner accepted the offer, the Court has directed him to pay Rs 10 crores in two weeks duration and the remaining amount in about four weeks time.
