Sikkim housewife gang-raped in Vizag
A housewife from Sikkim was gang raped by four persons under the Gajuwaka police limits. The incident happened when her husband was out of city and she was alone in the house with her three children.
Visakhapatnam: A housewife from Sikkim was gang raped by four persons under the Gajuwaka police limits. The incident happened when her husband was out of city and she was alone in the house with her three children.
Though the incident took place on Monday evening, it came to light on Tuesday night, when the victim along with her husband has lodged a police complaint. The police said that all the four accused, including a minor boy were caught at different places on Wednesday evening for interrogation.
Inspector of Gajuwaka, T Immanuel Raju said the victim along with her husband and three children has been staying in Gajuwaka area for past three years. Four youngsters, including a minor boy gained entry on Monday evening and threatened her. Later two of them raped in front of her children. The gang also threatened the woman with dire consequences if she revealed the matter to the police and snatched away Rs 500 from her.
The circle inspector said preliminary investigation revealed that gang had committed the heinous crime and hence they were booked under Section 376 (Rape) of IPC.
