Visakhapatnam: A middle aged woman was found murdered on the outskirts of Yelamanchali in Visakhapatnam district. The woman, aged around 45, was identified as a native of Anakapalle rural limits and allegedly murdered by her paramour on June 25. The killer later threw her body near the railway track.

The incident came to light after the family members of the woman lodged a complaint with the rural police of Anakapalle on July 4. Family members of the victim caught hold of the paramour and after arm twisting he confessed to the crime. They later handed him over to the police.

The body was traced on Wednesday morning. The police arrested him and are looking for his brother who is at large.
The deceased was identified as Karanam Parvathi (45), a native of Ch Agraharam, of Anakapalle. The arrested suspect was P Abbai alias Bobby (24), a native of Kathipudi of East Godavari district and a resident of Purushottapuram of Yelamanchali mandal in the district. The accused works in Hetero Chemicals, Nakkapalle.

Anakapalle Inspector (rural) Ramachandra Rao said Parvathi had illicit relationship with Bobby for some time. Even the family members of Parvathi knew about it and often warned her. On June 25, she went to Bobby’s house where he smashed her head with a stick.

The inspector said Bobby killed her for three reasons. He was getting married soon and wanted her gold ornaments. He also found that she was moving with another person.

On the day of her death, Bobby questioned her why she was moving with another person to which she told him it was none of his business. Heated arguments ensued and in a fit of anger, he smashed her head causing instant death.

Bobby, along with his brother Appa Rao alias Chinni, took the body and threw it in bushes near railway track close to Yelamanchali. The body was sent to the government hospital for post-mortem.
