Employment sought for solar park oustees

Kurnool: District Collector S Satyanarayana asked the representatives of solar park to provide jobs for villagers of Ghani and Shakunala, who gave their land to solar park. He held a review meeting with the representatives of the world’s largest solar park at the Collectorate here on Thursday.

Addressing the solar park representatives, the Collector stressed on the need for creating job opportunities to the solar park displaced. He instructed the RDOs of Kurnool and Nandyal to hand over the list of beneficiaries, who are above 18 years, to them. Zilla Parishad Chairman Mallela Rajasekhar requested the Collector to lay cement concrete roads and construct drains at Thippaipalle as several vehicles are passing the village to reach solar park.

Panyam MLA Gouru Charitha Reddy said that several students, who had passed B Tech, ITI and tenth class, are waiting for job opportunities at solar park. She urged the District Collector to ensure job security to solar park displaced while giving them priority in jobs recruitment.

District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB) Chairman Mallikarjuna Reddy requested the Collector to take up developmental works at Ghani and Shakunala at a cost of Rs 5 crore and urged the representatives of solar park to create basic amenities in these villages.

Solar Park Managing Director Adi Seshu brought to the notice of the Collector that they will hand over the job aspirants list to the company representatives as and when they receive the list.
