Focus on investigating missing cases: CID IG
CID Inspector General of Police Amit Garg directed the SPs of Rayalaseema districts to concentrate on investigating missing cases.
Tirupati: CID Inspector General of Police Amit Garg directed the SPs of Rayalaseema districts to concentrate on investigating missing cases.
Reviewing the pending missing cases at the police guest house here on Friday, the IG directed the SPs to use modern technology for tracing the whereabouts of missing cases and share the information with counterparts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Admitting the delay in tracing whereabouts of Anitha and Arivandana in west police division, the IG instructed the DSPs concerned to set up special teams to trace missing women.
The IG also instructed the officials to display the missing persons’ photos at auto-rickshaw, railway and bus stands to find their whereabouts.
In the meeting, Anantapur range DIG J Prabhakara Rao, Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty, Chittoor SP Rajasekhar Babu, Anantapur SP GVG Ashok Kumar and Kadapa SP Babuji Attada and DSPs were present.
