Dagadarthi airport works still underway?
Even as the Principal Secretary of Infrastructure and Investments Ajay Jain categorically announced that they had wound up activities of domestic airport at Dagadarthi just one and a half months ago, still land acquisition works seems to be going on in the area raising hopes on its possibilities.

Jain had said it was only due to demand for excess compensation from the local farmers which prompted urgent closure of ongoing acquisition process ‘unable to meet the expenditure’.
The state senior official clearly mentioned that that would be shifting the domestic airport to other part of the state as they state government had dropped the proposal due to huge expenditure for land acquisition will not be feasible. The district collector has also not announced any measures for resuming the efforts for domestic airport.
However, Devara Jayaprakash, tahsildar of Dagadarthi mandal, where the domestic airport was proposed, said the land acquisition process is going on.
