Visakhapatnam: The recent initiative of Beach Sun Beds has given new facelift to the Vizag beaches. The tourists and citizens of Vizag are going through a memorable experience on the shiny sand beach by relaxing on beach sun beds, which have been recently introduced on the beach front.
With the permission of the Government, a contractor has established Beach Beds on the beach front with covering tents and big umbrellas. The visitors are happy over the set-up of Beach Beds. The contractor is charging Rs 30 per hour per bed.Initially, the contractor expected that there will be good response from the beach lovers in the evenings only.
However, during the morning and afternoon also there is a big response from the visitors. The love birds and tourists from other districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also relaxing on the beach beds and enjoying the real times.
'Really, it is a wonderful experience. This facility, we only saw in the movies and at Goa and other places. The Vizag beach is also very beautiful and clean. Several times I visited the RK beach, but never relaxed like this. When my children are playing I used to sit on the sand and walls.
But, the beach beds are now very comfortable. Even my children are also enjoying while relaxing on the beds after playing,' P Manorama, a private college lecturer from Rayagada of Odisha shared her experience with The Hans India.
Watching the floating of various vessels on the blue waters including merchant naval vessels on roads (deep sea called roads), mechanised fishing boats, Indian Naval ships, traditional fishing boats and also seeing the airborne planes flying above the waters are really memorable experiences while relaxing on the beach beds, say the visitors.
Once the sun sets, the glowing of the Vizag's first light on the Yarada hills, the illumination of the entire beach road with rows of apartments and another side illuminated ships is giving an impressive look and experience, says V Seshu Babu, a Panchayat Raj department employee of Tadepalligudem.
Talking about the cleanliness and maintenance of the beach and providing such facilities, the women suggest arranging restrooms for fresh water bath and dress changing after enjoying the tides. ‘At present some restrooms are there, but it must be increased,’ VKV Mohana Rao, a retired official in Treasury department opined.
For the present, even when it is raining, the visitors need not vacate the bay and can enjoy the beauty of the beach under the rain also.
