Participating in the induction ceremony as the chief guest at the Police Training Centre (PTC) here on Monday, the DGP congratulated the women trainees, who constituted 45 per cent of total trainees. He attributed such a large contingent of women being trained to the pro-women policies pursued by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He asked the trainees to bring laurels to the Police department by behaving respectfully with public, patiently listening to problems of people who comes to police station with faith, behaving as a responsible police officer and dealing with complaints tactfully.

Recalling his IPS training period days at National Police Academy and at PTC in 1986, the DGP said that even after completing 31 years of service, cybercrime investigation is not his cup of tea but it is easy for modern IPS officers to handle it and keep abreast of the modern technology developments.

“Technology is key to success in modern investigation,” he said and asked the police officials, particularly the trainees to become good detectives on the lines of western crime detectives.

He advised the trainees to keep the police flag flying high after their passing out parade. Inspector-Generals N Sanjay, A Ravichandra and Rayalaseema IG Shaik Mohammed Iqbal, Kurnool DIG G Srinivas, PTC Principal Venkatram Reddy and SP Ashok were present.
