Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the residence of former Kuppam MLA N Rangaswamy Naidu, who passed away recently, at Santhipuram on Thursday.

Chittoor: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited the residence of former Kuppam MLA N Rangaswamy Naidu, who passed away recently, at Santhipuram on Thursday.

The Chief Minister reached Tumisi helipad in a helicopter from Bengaluru. Chittoor MP Dr N Sivaprasad, District Collector PS Pradyumna and other MLAs have welcomed the Chief Minister at the helipad.

He straight away drove to the tomb of Rangaswamy and paid floral tributes to him. Later, he visited the residence of departed leader and consoled the bereaved family members including his wife Hemavathi and son Hemadri Naidu.

Chandrababu assured of TDP providing all assistance to the family members of Rangaswamy. Recalling the services of Rangaswamy, the Chief Minister praised former MLA for doing remarkable job for the development of Kuppam Assembly constituency.

Recollecting his association with Rangaswamy, Chandrababu stated that he used to be very affectionate towards him. He was a dedicated TDP leader and provided his services to the party in various capacities, he added.

The TDP supremo said that Rangaswamy delivered excellent services as a member of the TTD Trust Board and as RESCO chairman. The Chief Minister said that the TDP had lost an able leader. Several people from Kuppam and Santhipuram have submitted representation to the Chief Minister on the occasion. The district police made elaborate security arrangements for the Chief Minister’s visit to Santhipuram.

Later, Chandrababu left to Gannavaram via Bengaluru. ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash, TDP MLAs T Aditya (Satyavedu) and G Shankar (Thamballapalle), MLCs G Srinivasulu, and B N Rajasimhulu, former legislators Ramesh and Lalitha Kumari, RESCO Chairman Muniratnam, Chief Minister personal secretary Manohar, District SP Rajasekhar Babu, Joint Collector Girisha, Madanapalle Sub-Collector Vetri Selvi, Joint Collector 2 Chandramouli and other officials were present.
