Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa on Thursday called upon the industrialists to spend 2 per cent of their income on social service activities under the corporate social responsibility.
Addressing industrialists in a programme ‘Industries Participation in Social Development,’ the minister said that it is mandatory on the part of industrialists to spend 2 per cent of their income for the benefit of local population in the area of their operation and to curb pollution in the area.
Apart from this, the industries should take green belt in the one-third area of their premises, the minister said. Kakinada MP Thota Narasimham said the government has been providing ample support for the development of industries in the State.
