Kakinada: Former minister and YSRC, East Godavari party in-charge Dharmana Prasada Rao alleged that the police stations in the state turned out as TDP offices for exerting pressure on YSRC activists to join TDP or face police action, which may even include history charge sheets.

Speaking to presspersons here on Friday at R& B guest house, the former minister said that in total 500 cases were booked on YSRC activists in Anaparthy constituency in East Godavari for their refusal to join TDP.

Party state secretary Ambati Rambabu who also spoke said that the YSRC will support the leaders who seek the implementation of promises made by Chandrababu Naidu during his Pada yatra for provision of reservations to Kapu social section.

He ridiculed the statement of home minister Chinarajappa over the proposed padayatra of Mudragadaand the policy permission aspect to it. Ambati observed that this permission issue did not arise when late YSR and Chandrababu Naidu conducted such padayatras. Party MLC P Subhash Chandra Bose, East Godavari district unit president K Kannababu, former Kakinada city MLA, D Chandrasekhara Reddy and others attended.
