Eluru: The local court has granted bail to the three accused in the social boycott case in Garagaparru village of Palakoderu mandal on Friday.

It may be recalled that in Garagaparru village, upper-caste people allegedly boycotted the 800 families in Christian peta. As the media broke the news, police after two months of alleged boycott registered case against Indukuri alaramakrishnamraju, Mudunuri Ramaraju and K Srinivas and arrested them on June 29. Later the police produced them before local court in Bhimavaram.

The accused moved to SC, ST court in Eluru and filed bail petition on June 30. The accused filed their bail petition in the SC, ST court on June 30 and it came up for hearing on July 3. After listening both sides, the SC, ST Court Judge Suneetha has dismissed the bail petition.

Public prosecutor D Prabhakar conducted the prosecution. On Friday, another bail petition moved by the accused and after hearing both parties, the Judge allowed their petition and sanctioned the bail. A case has been filed against the three accused under Sections 341, 506 read with Section 34 of IPC and Sections 3(1), (R), (S), (V), (ZC) of SC, ST Protection Act 2015.
