Collector vents ire at Rytu Bazaar estate officer

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector B Lakshmi Kantam directed the officials to take action against Patamata Rytu Bazar estate officer who was absconding from duties.

The Collector made a surprise visit to Rytu Bazar and noticed absence of the estate officer on Saturday. When the official was summoned before him, the Collector chided him for absconding duties at Rythu Bazar.

He grilled the official on the unhygienic conditions on the market premises. He recommended punitive action against the official and stop his salary.

The Collector asked the officials to make vegetables like tomatoes in the reach of customers. He enquired with the customers on the problems being faced by them. Some customers complained to him that they were not getting back change from the buyers.

Lakshmi Kantam warned the traders of action if they sell vegetables at prices higher than those displayed in price list. He promised he would take necessary steps for the development of the market.
