2 revenue staffers held for gambling
Police arrested three persons including Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association (APRSA) State secretary Narasimha Raju, and suspended deputy tahsildar and West Godavari district secretary of APRSA L V Sagar while they were indulging in gambling at Revenue Bhavan here on Sunday.
Eluru: Police arrested three persons including Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association (APRSA) State secretary Narasimha Raju, and suspended deputy tahsildar and West Godavari district secretary of APRSA L V Sagar while they were indulging in gambling at Revenue Bhavan here on Sunday.
On a tip-off, the two-town police raided Revenue Bhavan, which was adjacent to the Two-town police station. They found Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association secretary Narasimha Raju, District Revenue Services Association Secretary L V Sagar and another person Boppana Marraju of Satrampadu indulged in gambling.
The police arrested the three persons and seized Rs 1,900 from them. They handed over the three to three-town police. Two-Town CI G Madhubabu and his staff participated in the raids. A case has been registered under AP Gaming Act.
