Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed Telugu Desam Party legislators to come to Vijayawada by Sunday evening. The Chief Minister will have a meeting with the party MLAs at Secretariat at 8 a.m. on Monday and Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will also be meeting his party MLAs at State guest house in Vijayawada on Monday morning.

All the legislators will reach Assembly by 10 a.m. on Monday. The polling will begin with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu casting his vote. Minister for Rural Housing and I&PR Kalva Srinivasulu will be polling agent on behalf of Telugu Desam Party and Public Accounts Committee chairman Buggana Rajendranath Reddy has been appointed as polling agent on behalf of YSR Congress.

Police department has made all elaborate security arrangements for President election. They have already imposed Section 30 of Police Act and 144 Section to avoid untoward incidents and banned all meetings and holding of rallies, protests near the Secretariat.

Police deployed additional forces as a precautionary measure. They stepped up vigilance at places surrounding Secretariat and quick response force was already deployed. The police officials are using drones to know movements at the various places in the Secretariat.

After checking of bomb detection squad, then only, anybody will be allowed into the Secretariat. Separate routes were arranged for Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker, ministers, MLAs and MLCs to enter the Assembly hall. Parking place was already set up to park the vehicles and marking was made.

Police officials are getting necessary information from A.S.P Vikrant Patel, Assembly chief marshal Ganesh and the higher officials are giving them suggestions and advises. Meanwhile, Guntur rural S.P. Ch.Venkata Appala Naidu who reviewed security arrangements at Secretariat today warned that they will take stern action against those who violate the prohibitory orders.
