Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the irrigation officials to complete the concrete works of Polavaram project to the level where there will not be any effect even if floods occur.
While reviewing the status of Polavaram project and other irrigation projects on Monday at Secretariat he asked for completion of one lakh cubic metre concrete works by this month end.
Envisaging that two lakh cubic meters concrete works should taken during next month he said that the works should be completed in all the blocks till 16th level, where there will not be any effect to the project despite floods. Project Chief Engineer Ramesh briefed the Chief Minister on the progress of the works.
