Land distribution in EG, a false propaganda

Eluru: West Godavari District Collector K Bhaskar said that no land distribution is taking place in the district. He received representations from various people during Mee Kosam programme conducted at Collectorate here on Monday.

Some women from Yadavole village in Devarapalli mandal who met the collector in the Mee Kosam programme had represented him to distribute the ceiling lands to the poor people of the village. When the collector asked who told them about land distribution, the petitioners Gandipom Yesemma, Balle Swaroopa,

Tamirci Radha, Venkayamma, Kunapam Durga and other women said that some people were propagating that the government was sanctioning the ceiling and surplus land to poor people in the village. The collector suggested them not to believe such false propaganda as no land is being distributed in the district.

The collector on a representation from Tangellamudi panchayat has directed officials to take necessary steps to maintain cleanliness in the district to control the spread of seasonal diseases and warned of stringent action if proper sanitation is not maintained. He directed district panchayat officer K Sudhakar to visit the Rajarajeswari Nagar in Tangellamudi panchayat and take necessary steps for the good sanitation.

Joint Collector Puli pati Koteswara Rao, MH Sheriff, DRO Katta Hymnavathi, district medical and health officer P Koteswari, DCHS Dr Shankar Rao, housing project director K Srinivasa Rao, and other officials participated in the programme.
