New Delhi: Indigo Airlines has announced that its flying ban on TDP MP J C Diwakar Reddy would go as an out of the court understanding has been reached here on Wednesday.

The management of the airline informed the media houses here today that a luncheon meeting was held at Union Minister Y S Chowdary's residence on Wednesday wherein JC was also present along with the top officials of the airlines and "the issue was amicably resolved".

The MP has agreed to withdraw the case filed in the High Court in this regard and the airlines has decided to lift the ban on the MP in a quid pro quo.

The airlines stated in its note that the Federation of Indian Airlines was being informed of the same and thanked all carriers for the support extended to it during the issue.

It may be recalled that Diwakar Reddy reportedly used brute force against the airlines staff at Visakhapatnam for denying him the boarding pass by the Indigo flight as the doors were closed and the aircraft was preparing for a take-off.

The MP refused to heed to their pleas and misbehaved with the staff and yanked a printer off the table and later was seen pushing a staff member too. He refused to apologize for the same flaunting his position and added that the Aviation Minister (P Ashok Gajapati Raju) himself had spoken to the officials and arranged for the boarding pass by the same flight.

He then went on to file a case in the High Court seeking an order against the flying ban imposed by the airlines.
