About 0.21 million metric tonnes monazite has been found in Visakhapatnam district and it is distributed in three areas of Bheemunipatnam (0.04mt), Achyutapuram (0.07 mt) and Tandava-Varaha (0.10 mt).
New Delhi: About 0.21 million metric tonnes monazite has been found in Visakhapatnam district and it is distributed in three areas of Bheemunipatnam (0.04mt), Achyutapuram (0.07 mt) and Tandava-Varaha (0.10 mt).
This was disclosed by Dr Jitendra Singh, minister of state for personnel, public grievances & pensions and Prime Minister’s Office in response to a question of YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy in Rajya Sabha on Thursday.The quality of the monazite had been tested and it was found viable to process, he said.
