Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reiterated his desire to make Andhra Pradesh number one state in the country by increasing income of each family. “The government earlier concentrated on development and welfare programmes. Addressing a public meeting in Kuppam on the second day of his visit on Friday, he informed that several industries were slated to come to Kuppam, which would increase the employment opportunities. “Five to six apparel parks are coming up, one in each mandal,” he stated.
He lambasted previous Congress rule and alleged Rs 4,000 crore housing scam in the regime and stated his desire to provide housing for all.
“Within a year BT and Cement roads will be laid in every village. Cable connection to every home will be provided through fibre grid,” he informed.
Referring to Mahaprasthanam scheme, the Chief Minister stated that Rs 30,000 would be provided for funeral expenses. He asked collectors to take stern action on belt shops and sand mafia.
“Not even a single drop of rain water should go waste. Rain water should be used to recharge ground water through farm ponds and check dams,” he instructed officials.
Stating that Kuppam would be developed as an organic cluster, Naidu promised airports in Kuppam, Orvakallu and Nellore.
On the occasion, few farmers shared their success stories. Later, the Chief Minister distributed assets to beneficiaries.
Earlier, he distributed Rs 46 lakhs from CM Relief Fund to 41 beneficiaries from his constituency.
People gathered in large numbers to meet CM, as he spent almost two days exclusively on the development activities in his constituency. Party youth organised a bike rally, while several party workers led the convoy on padayatra with party flags and raising slogans in favour of their beloved leader.
Later, Naidu inaugurated the 150-bed upgraded area hospital in Kuppam and interacted with children and women, who were inpatients in the gynaecology ward. He also distributed NTR baby kits to them.
Police command and control room, Locked House Monitoring System (LHMS) and model police station buildings were also inaugurated. The Chief Minister interacted with community police officers and praised their role. He announced that CPOs would be given priority in the recruitment of home guards. Home minister N Chinarajappa, DGP N Sambasiva Rao, DIG J Prabhakara Rao, SP Rajasekhar Babu and others were present.
