Gadde Rammohan Rao,civic chief plant saplings
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Nivas planted saplings, along with pre-school children at Gayatrinagar in Vijayawada, on Friday. Local corporator Jasti Sambasiva Rao arranged the plantation drive with the cooperation of Kangaru Pre- School.

Local corporator Jasti Sambasiva Rao arranged the plantation drive with the cooperation of Kangaru Pre- School.
MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao said that everyone would involve in the planting saplings and help to decrease the pollution levels to make city green. The state government is implementing the Vanam–Manam programme and planting the saplings in a big way, he added.
The VMC Commissioner called upon the people to participate in plantation drive. Greenery would help decrease the temperature in the city, hence, people should take responsibility to plant saplings and protecting them, he suggested.VMC horticulture officer K Pradeep Kumar and others participated.
