CM to inaugurate digital classrooms and interact with children through video conference

Chandrababu will interact with the students of VMC schools students face- to- face at their virtual class rooms through video conference. Minister for Water Resources Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Krishna district collector B Lakshmi Kantham, City Mayor Koneru Sridhar, on Sunday visited and inspected the arrangements at the CVR Municipal Corporation high school.

Speaking on the occasion Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that CM Chandrababu would inaugurate virtual class rooms and he would speak to students through video conference.

Technology would be linked with the virtual class rooms system and teaching would be continued in this manner, he added. Later, he interacted with several VMC school’s students through video conference.

Krishna district collector B Lakshmi Kantham informed that Municipal Minister P Narayana and others would participate in this programme.

VMC deputy educational officer Durga Prasad told the Hans India that initially 14 schools out of 28 schools under Vijayawada Corporation would be linked with digital class rooms systems under Vidhya Vani programe. The remaining 14 schools would get the digital system in a month.

All the students of class IX would get digital education which would be on par with corporate schools. The digital system would have a huge screen connected to a projector which has all the subject material installed in it.

All the students in the 14 schools would be taught through the advanced digital system. All the concerned subject teachers will get two days training programme on how to operate the digital system. He said that a total of Rs. 1.93 crore has been spent for the digital class room system Vidya Vani programme which started in January 2017.
